To help expats living in Chengdu enjoy the convenience of the public transportation system in the city, Chengdu Municipal Transport Bureau has collaborated with relevant departments to update the traffic payment system, including the online payment for expats.
After downloading the Alipay app and adding bank cards (international bank cards included) (click here to read the operation guides), expats in the city can use the Chengdu Transport Code in the app to enjoy the services of Chengdu metro, tram and bus (to take buses in Jianyang City, scan the Jianyang Bus Code).
The app can also be used to pay metro fare (one-way ticket) or recharge the Tianfu Tong card at the passenger service center or ticket machine at metro stations.
