Xiamen Horticulture Expo Garden

Xiamen Horticulture Expo Garden (abbreviated as Garden Expo Park) was the venue for the 6th China International Garden and Flower Expo in 2007. It is located on the banks of Xinglin Bay in Jimei District, Xiamen City, covering an area of 2.46 square kilometers. It officially opened in September 2007. It is now a national key park, a national urban wetland park, and a 4A-level tourist attraction. Xiamen Horticulture Expo Garden has two major features: building the park on water and building the park following the styles of various gardens for the first time in China. The main exhibition areas include the main exhibition island, the Fujian-Taiwan island, the hot spring island, the marine island, the Chinese education island, and D island, etc. Through the overall layout of stars surrounding the center, it perfectly showcases various stunning garden scenes that amaze the world. There is water in the park, and the park is in the water, which is in line with the city characteristic of "the sea within the city, the city within the sea" of Xiamen. The park surrounds Xinglin Bay in Jimei District and is adjacent to the cultural and educational area of Jimei New Town. It is not only a favorite tourist and leisure destination for local residents and visitors, but also plays an ecological function as a city green lung. It is of great significance for achieving "high appearance level", "high quality", Xiamen, practicing the "five development concepts", and promoting the ecological construction of Xiamen City.
