Huangshi cake is a traditional local flavor snack in Huangshi city of central China’s Hubei province, which in the past was often presented as wedding gift, representing good luck and fullness. Its fillings are made of special flour, plant oil, soft sugar, sesame, rock candy, dried tangerine and the particular ingredient, osmanthus flower. The gong-shaped cake is crisp, with pleasant fragrance and sweet and refreshing taste. It has been awarded as China’s time-honored product by the Ministry of Commerce.
