The Hottest Forest Café in Wuhan, Hidden in the Mountains

This year's most popular forest café in Wuhan, Gugu Valley, is nestled deep within Mulan Mountain in Huangpi.

A stream flows right by your feet, tree canopies intertwine overhead, and large floor-to-ceiling windows face the woods directly—no need to find the perfect angle or adjust your composition; just pull out your phone and snap a shot—it’s instantly a wallpaper-worthy image.

It went viral even during its soft opening, and things got even crazier after it officially opened! At 78 yuan per person (including admission ticket, one drink, and a 50-yuan voucher), no reservation required, it sold over a thousand sets in just one week—some people even drove all the way from Xiaogan specifically to visit.

As for the experience: bigger, more beautiful, and wilder than expected. The indoor air conditioning is strong and keeps it comfortably cool.

△A wide variety of coffee drinks are available, including Americanos, lattes, creative specialty blends, and pour-overs, as well as sparkling water paired with matcha cake.

Park your car halfway up the mountain, then follow the signs along a gravel path for about three minutes—three buildings emerge from the greenery.

Remember to wear comfortable shoes when visiting. The place is called "Gugu Valley," and the name alone suggests a hidden gem nestled in a valley.

Outdoor seating is also available under tree shade and beside the stream. In Gugu Valley, aside from trees, seats are the most abundant.  
Lazy sofas, ergonomic loungers, bamboo chairs, open-weave net chairs, hammocks—dozens of styles to choose from.  
You can stretch out in any position, however comfortable—lie down, recline, or sit wherever you like. Sit by the stream among the trees, watching light and shadows dance, and flowers bloom across the water.

If you'd like to avoid crowds, head down the mountain for five minutes—Vanas Senka (Mulan Branch) awaits.  
This is a complimentary amenity at Yuehe Linquan Homestay. The bar area spans only three square meters, nestled beside natural scenery with seating placed under the shade of trees.  
Nearby is the free Huyu Tang Museum (closed on Mondays), showcasing ancient Chinese folk sculptures and teapots—worth a quick visit.

△ Vanas Senka (Mulan Branch) offers a limited coffee selection. Their signature "In the Clouds" coffee, made with grape juice base and topped with rich, velvety milk foam, looks as good as it tastes.
