1. How can I take the S1 Line by metro?
There are two ways to take the S1 Line by metro:

  • Direct Ride: Take an S1 Line train directly at any station on Metro Line 1.
  • Transfer: Take a Line 1 train to Yanqiao Station, then get off and wait on the platform for the next train heading towards Jiangyin Bund.

2. What are the ticket prices for the S1 Line?
The ticket prices for the S1 Line are as follows:

  • Starting fare: 2 RMB per person for the first 5 kilometers.
  • For distances between 5 km and 15 km: An additional 1 RMB is charged for every 5 km (any distance under 5 km is counted as 5 km).
  • For distances between 15 km and 29 km: An additional 1 RMB is charged for every 7 km (any distance under 7 km is counted as 7 km).
  • For distances exceeding 29 km: An additional 1 RMB is charged for every 9 km (any distance under 9 km is counted as 9 km).
  • This pricing is consistent with the existing Wuxi Metro network.

3. What are the preferential policies for taking the S1 Line?
Existing public transportation preferential policies for the elderly, children, and students also apply to the S1 Line. Details are as follows:

  • Seniors aged 60-69: Enjoy a 50% discount on the one-way fare outside of peak hours (7:00-9:00, 16:00-18:00; entry time is the standard) .
  • Seniors aged 70 and above: Ride for free outside of peak hours (7:00-9:00, 16:00-18:00; entry time is the standard) .
  • Children with height 1.3 meters or below: Ride for free.
  • Full-time students in Wuxi: Enjoy a 50% discount on the one-way fare.
  • Other groups entitled to preferential policies according to regulations will continue to enjoy them.

4. Can I use the Wuxi Metro Annual Pass or Ride Cards on the S1 Line?
Yes, both the currently issued Wuxi Metro Annual Pass and Ride Cards can be used on the S1 Line.
