Wuxi Branch of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange Deepens Foreign Currency Exchange Services to Activate New Consumption Drivers for Foreign Crew Members

Jiangyin

To further deepen the reform of foreign currency exchange facilitation and transform the "flow" of foreign crew members into consumption "increment" for local development, the Wuxi Branch has actively empowered inbound tourist services at Jiangyin Port. On February 7, the "Jiangyin Travel" brand promotion and inaugural inbound tourist shuttle bus ceremony was officially launched at Jiangyin Port.

During this inaugural event, over 50 foreign crew members from 13 countries, including Greece, the Philippines, Norway, and Russia, became the first batch of experiencers of the "Jiangyin Travel" inbound tourist shuttle bus. The Wuxi Branch set up a service point at the site to provide foreign currency exchange consultation, guiding foreign crew members to conduct foreign currency exchange through foreign currency self-service exchange machines. It has also established a linkage mechanism of "customs clearance facilitation – exchange convenience – smooth consumption" with the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau and the Bureau of Culture and Tourism.

Going forward, the Wuxi Branch will continue to optimize foreign currency exchange services, expand its capacity for exchanging less frequently traded currencies, and explore the integration and application of digital RMB with foreign currency exchange, truly enabling foreign nationals to "be willing to come, spend conveniently, and want to return," thereby injecting foreign exchange momentum into the high-quality development of the local economy.
