Hangzhoufeel is thrilled to invite our followers to experience the iconic Italian musical La Divina Commedia (The Divine Comedy), returning to China for its second national tour—with the final stop in Hangzhou from 18 to 21 September!

On 5 September, we took our followers to a romantic opera night at the Winland·Verona International Opera Festival. This time, to celebrate the 55th anniversary of China–Italy diplomatic ties, we’re giving Hangzhoufeel friends another chance to see a grand show. Ready to become one of the lucky ones to see La Divina Commedia for free on 19 September (Friday)?

About the musical

Eight renowned Italian singers, 14 dancers, and over 200 exquisite costumes bring to life the world's first and only musical adaptation of Dante's eponymous poem, "La Divina Commedia", combining rock, pop, and opera with cutting-edge 3D visual effects to create a spellbinding journey through Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise.

The Divine Comedy is a long narrative poem written in Italian around 1308–1321 by Dante. It is considered to be one of the world’s great works of literature. Divided into three major sections—Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso—the poem traces the journey of Dante from darkness and error to the revelation of the divine light, culminating in the Beatific Vision of God.

The musical builds a haunting spiritual universe across three sharply distinct chapters. “Inferno” slams with explosive rock—screaming guitars and industrial beats turn the soul’s fall into a visceral wall of sound, evoking the nine circles of hell. “Purgatorio” softens into a lyrical blend of jazz and strings, with swaying piano and hushed woodwinds tracing the path of repentance. “Paradiso” crowns it with a symphonic poem—soaring soprano and organ under a dome LED sky conjure a radiant “heavenly light,” as if the theater itself were a stairway to the divine. Each chapter finds the form that fits it best, bringing Dante’s masterpiece vividly to life.
