Chengdu Eastern New Area

Scarecrows at the International Horticultural Exhibition Chengdu

The 2026 International Horticultural Exhibition Chengdu 2nd Giant Scarecrow Art Kingdom is set to kick off on September 25. Over ten land artists will use straw as their primary material to create nearly 50 giant scarecrow installations set against the beautiful autumn scenery across six exhibition areas. Visitors can enjoy straw art performances, interactive parades, and other activities. The event will run through October 18.

Longquanyi District

Dong’an Lake Mid-Autumn Carnival

From September 25 to 27, the 2026 Dong’an Lake Mid-Autumn Carnival will be held at Shuxiang Square in Dong’an Lake Park. Chinese-style songs, folk band performances, guzheng and pipa performances, and Bashu intangible cultural heritage exhibitions and performances will be staged throughout the event.

On the evening of September 25, spectacular intangible cultural heritage performances, including the “Flying Fire Pot” and “iron flower” fireworks, will captivate the audience on the designated waters of Dong’an Lake.

Xindu District

Spectacular Intangible Cultural Heritage Fire Performances

Intangible cultural heritage performances, Sichuan Opera parades, a food market, live music, traditional handicraft experiences, and other activities will be held at Jinmen. The spectacular intangible cultural heritage fire show will make a grand return, with three signature performances—fire pots, fire knives, and fire dancing—staged in turn. Professional Sichuan Opera performers will present face-changing performances at the Paramount ballroom.

Sichuan Tianfu New Area

Mid-Autumn Nature Study Season

From September 25 to 27, the “Starlight and Moonlight Return Voyage—Xinglong Lake Special Mission” and “Echoes of Nature”—Mid-Autumn Nature Study Season will be held at sites including Sichuan Science and Technology Museum, Resonance Bookstore, and Xinglong Lake.

Nanhu Dream Land will launch the Chinese-style Experience Season, featuring multiple interactive attractions inspired by traditional Chinese aesthetics. Luxe Market will open in Luxetown from September 25 to October 3.

Chongzhou City

Weijiangshui Street Lantern Night Tour

Jiezi Ancient Town will offer a new experience as part of its Moonlit Night Tour Season. On the island at the center of the lake between Ruilong Bridge and the ancient aqueduct, visitors can enjoy “iron flower” fireworks, fire pot performances, and cruise shows. The Weijiangshui Street Lantern Night Tour and a fish lantern parade on the water will be available during the festival.

Pujiang County

Mid-Autumn Mountain Fair

Pujiang Changqiu Mountain Forest Park will hold the “Mid-Autumn Mountain Fair”, the Changqiu Mountain TAN Plays Hiking Event, and the Highland Flower Sea Carnival Fair, alongside immersive activities such as a forest fair, outdoor calligraphy, lantern-making workshops, and mountain film screenings.

From September 25 to 26, Mingyue Village will hold the Mingyue Market, a traditional Chinese-style garden fair, a parade featuring traditional-style character performers, and other activities.
