After the announcement of CPEC the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. This year is very busy. We already made more than 8 or 9 trips to different cities in China.

I'm Vice President of National Bank of Pakistan. From 2017, I am based in China looking after our bank's business in the Chinese mainland. The National Bank of Pakistan is the largest bank in Pakistan, and is owned by the Government of Pakistan. Our asset size is around $25 billion, and we have operations in more than 17 countries around the world. Our bank set up this office in 1981, and we were one of the first foreign banks that established their presence in the Chinese mainland after the reforms and opening up in 1978. Right now, we just have a representative office in Beijing. So we are also planning to upgrade this to an operational branch. 

China has one of the most advanced digital or e-payment ecosystems in the world. This is the thing that we are also looking forward to learning from the Chinese. NayaPay is a payment solution, that is supported by some Chinese companies to make these overseas payments. Solana is one of the largest shopping malls in Beijing, and this is where the NayaPay first transaction was held successfully.
There are over 1,800 financial institutions in Chaoyang district, with nearly 400 foreign financial institutions, the district also provides full scale services and support to the enterprises, especially under the opening of a financial sector, so as to attract more foreign financial institution which includes tax, visa and other preferential policies for the foreign financial institutions. So this is one of the reason that we also selected Chaoyang District.
When the lights are on, this place is of a very nice feeling. I belong to the south of Pakistan, and Karachi is called the City of Lights. So even if you go out in the midnight, you can see most of the things open, like Joy City, offers all the branded things where you can find some good stuff. There are very good food options available here. The best thing is that you can find authentic taste that you find in Pakistan in Beijing as well.
We say, Pakistan and China are "iron-clad brothers". If you are not visiting China, then you do not know what real China is. China develops so fast. It's now the best time of our life that we are spending here.
