Japanese Internment Camp Walk @ Shanghai Middle School

From mid-1943 to September 1945 the Japanese occupation authorities interned over 1,900 Allied civilians, men, women and children from the U.S., the U.K., British Commonwealth and other Allied nations in a former teachers' college situated on the current campus of Shanghai Middle School/SHSID.

Led by Sven Serrano (RAS China Librarian), tour the campus grounds and visit the buildings still standing from the Lunghua Civilian Assembly Center (CAC) era including D, E, and F Blocks, the Dining Room, the Guards' and Commandant' quarters, and the Assembly Hall.
