Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Foreign Talent Service Holds Its 2025 Summary Meeting in Tianjin

In accordance with the Key Tasks for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Foreign Talent Service in 2025, the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, together with the Beijing Overseas Talents Center, the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the Hebei Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, convened the 2025 Summary Meeting of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Foreign Talent Service in Tianjin on January 7. Officials from the competent authorities for foreign expert affairs and representatives from the service bases of the three regions attended the meeting. Cui Zhenping, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and Tan Zhendong, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Bureau, met with Gao Jianfeng, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Director of the Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau, and Guan Changhai, Director of the Second Service Department of the Beijing Overseas Talents Center.

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Foreign Talent Service was jointly established by the competent authorities for foreign expert affairs of the three regions at the end of 2023. It introduced a mechanism where each region takes turns leading and organizing activities annually, serving as a concrete practice to deepen the implementation of the coordinated development strategy for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. By strengthening communication and exchange among foreign talents in the region, jointly organizing events for foreign talents, and enhancing the development of foreign talent service teams, it fosters a welcoming and attractive environment.

Gao Jianfeng, along with officials from relevant departments of the Beijing Overseas Talents Center, the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the Hebei Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, visited the Exhibition Center of the Tiankai High-level Education Sci-Tech Innovation Park and spoke highly of its scientific and technological innovation achievements. During the meeting, the competent authorities for foreign expert affairs from the three regions reported on their work in 2025 and outlined plans for 2026. The service bases from the three regions also presented their work reports. As the rotating lead unit for 2026, Gao Jianfeng, on behalf of the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, outlined the key tasks for the next steps of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Foreign Talent Service. Tan Zhendong emphasized the requirements to seize opportunities, grasp key priorities, focus on critical areas, build consensus, and achieve set goals. Moving forward, the competent authorities for foreign expert affairs in the three regions will fully leverage the role of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Foreign Talent Service, promote institutional innovation, strengthen resource sharing, and collaborate on talent and expertise recruitment to provide international intellectual support for the joint development of the Beijing (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei) International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
