Jiangyin City Overseas Chinese Scholars Association and Jiangnan University School of Digital Creativity Hold Successful Cooperation Symposium

To fully implement the city's united front "Gathering the Wise to Benefit Wuxi" special action plan and deepen industry-university-research collaboration between the city and universities, on May 21, the "Two Rivers United, Wisdom Together" Jiangyin City Overseas Chinese Scholars Association and Jiangnan University School of Digital Creativity cooperation symposium was held at the School of Digital Creativity, Xia Ke Wan Campus, Jiangnan University. Hu Zhengrong, Vice Dean of Wuxi Socialist Academy and Secretary-General of Wuxi Overseas Chinese Scholars Association; Professor Wu Youxin, expert of the Overseas Communication Research Center of the Overseas Chinese Scholars Association Research Institute, Secretary-General of Jiangnan University Overseas Chinese Scholars Association, and professor at the School of Design; Professor Hu Weifeng, Vice Dean and professor of the School of Digital Creativity, Jiangnan University; and Wang Xi, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of Jiangyin Municipal Committee and Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, attended the event. Nearly 30 young entrepreneur representatives from the Jiangyin Overseas Chinese Scholars Association participated in the event.

During the event, Hu Weifeng introduced the overview of the School of Digital Creativity at Jiangnan University and its industry-university-research cooperation, expressing the hope that this event would serve as an opportunity to fully leverage the school's disciplinary and resource advantages, deeply connect with enterprise needs, and contribute to the development of the local digital economy and cultural and creative industries. Wu Youxin delivered a special presentation titled "AIGC Algorithmic Aesthetics and the Enhancement of Enterprise Brand Aesthetics," and Hu Weifeng delivered a special presentation titled "Industrial Design Empowering Industrial Transformation and Upgrading." They also held on-site discussions and exchanges with the young entrepreneur representatives of the Jiangyin Overseas Chinese Scholars Association. The Jiangnan University Overseas Chinese Scholars Association signed cooperation agreements with Wuxi Wansheng Electronics Co., Ltd., and the School of Digital Creativity of Jiangnan University signed an agreement with Jiangyin Weikang Electric Heating Appliance Co., Ltd.

Prior to the event, the young entrepreneur representatives of the Jiangyin Overseas Chinese Scholars Association visited the Digital Media Laboratory, Cultural and Creative Design Workshop, and Interactive Design Experience Center, gaining an up-close understanding of the school's achievements in digital technology commercialization, popular science content visualization development, and digital design of cultural and creative products.

This event represents an in-depth collaboration following the establishment of the "Two Rivers United" think tank by the Jiangyin Overseas Chinese Scholars Association and the Jiangnan University Overseas Chinese Scholars Association. Going forward, the United Front Work Department of the Jiangyin Municipal Committee will continue to strengthen regular coordination with Jiangnan University, focusing on leading industries and working together to transform industrial advantages, research strengths, and talent advantages into high-quality momentum for regional economic development.
