XiamenOn the morning of May 29, the "BRICS Wisdom, Journey Together in Xiamen" 2026 Xiamen Foreign Talent Sharing and Exchange Session was held at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. Nearly 200 people attended the event, including representatives of foreign experts, entrepreneurs, technical personnel, and international students from 26 countries such as Russia, Indonesia, and Egypt, as well as heads of human resources from Xiamen-based universities, research institutions, and key enterprises.

Policy Briefing – Full-Chain Services for Foreign Talents Coming to Xiamen
The Xiamen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau provided a detailed interpretation of the comprehensive policies for foreign talents coming to Xiamen, covering work permits, employment and entrepreneurship, and living services. The Municipal Exit-Entry Administration introduced facilitation measures for visas, stay and residence permits, and the "Five-Star Card". From "one card" to "a home", Xiamen uses policy warmth and attentive services to pave the way for foreign talents to develop in Xiamen.


Ecosystem Promotion – Cultivating a Fertile Ground for International Talent Development
The BRICS Innovation Center introduced its functions and positioning, noting that the center is becoming an important platform connecting global technology, industry, and talent. Zhonghua Subdistrict led attendees on a tour of the century-old Zhongshan Road, sharing the area's historical and cultural heritage and its international renewal story. Guanren Community, Yundang Subdistrict, shared its achievements in building an international community and presented the meticulously designed "One-Stop Service Manual for Foreigners Coming to Xiamen", making foreign friends feel a sense of home-like warmth.


Foreign Talent Sharing – Rooted in Xiamen, Pursuing Dreams in Xiamen
At the event, Mr. Pierre, a French entrepreneur, shared his journey of striving. He founded his outdoor equipment brand in Xiamen, leading his company to deepen its presence in the outdoor equipment field and bringing "Made in China" to the world. He praised Xiamen for its international vision and down-to-earth services, allowing entrepreneurs to settle down with peace of mind and strive with confidence.
Mr. Robert, the Primary School Principal of Xiamen International School of the Sino-Canadian Consortium, shared his genuine feelings from the perspectives of a foreign parent and educator. He noted that Xiamen, with its year-round flowers, sea breezes, and safe, comfortable urban environment, allows one to pursue a career while spending time with family, achieving both professional success and a happy life.


After the sharing and exchange conference, many foreign talents sought to learn more about Xiamen's specific policies and measures, coming to the consultation desk for detailed information. They expressed that Xiamen is a beautiful city and that they are willing to stay and continue developing their careers here. Fan Shili, a student from El Salvador studying at the School of International Relations, Xiamen University, has lived in Xiamen for two years. She said that Xiamen offers many job opportunities and a good international environment, and she hopes to work and live well here.
Xiaoya, a first-year graduate student at Xiamen University from Brazil, was similarly attracted by the city's beauty. Amin, an Iranian student majoring in International Law at Xiamen University, stated bluntly: "Xiamen is indeed the warmest city in China, a unique and longed-for city in my heart."
Hu Zhishun, a student from Indonesia majoring in International Chinese Language Education at Huaqiao University, has been in Xiamen for nearly three years. He believes that Xiamen has an international vision and a beautiful environment. "When it comes to choosing a workplace in the future, Xiamen will be my first choice."



After the event, the foreign talents also visited the exhibition area to see firsthand the technological innovations and industrial development achievements in the field of intelligent manufacturing.




In recent years, leveraging the advantages of the BRICS Innovation Center, Xiamen has continuously optimized its international talent development environment, constantly improving the full-chain support system for work permits, entry-exit facilitation, and living services. The city has been consecutively recognized as "China's Best Talent-Attracting City of the Year" and "China's Most Attractive City for Foreign Talents".
This year, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau will partner with over 30 departments, including the Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, to continue optimizing various service measures in the recruitment, utilization, service, and social integration of foreign talents, providing global talent with better development space and a secure living environment when they come to Xiamen.
