National Alpine Skiing Center to Open in Mid to Late Nov

As the temperature continues to drop, the National Alpine Skiing Center inYanqing Olympic Park is now primed for snowmaking. On November 4, with the roar of machines, snowmaking work for the 2024-2025 snow season officially commenced.

The snowmaking operation covers a number of key areas, including the mountaintop area, Caihong Snow Trail, and Caixia Snow Trail, with a total area of 190,000 square meters. The trails are expected to open in phases to skiing enthusiasts from mid to late November. 

This snow season at Yanqing Olympic Park will run for 120 days, from November 18, 2024 to March 18, 2025. Starting in December, the National Alpine Skiing Center will host a series of thrilling events, including the FIS Snowboard World Cup Parallel - Giant Slalom and Parallel - Slalom 2024 Yanqing and Beijing Youth Alpine Skiing Championships.
