Job Fair a Help for Career Launch in Chengdu

The 2024 version of Job Fair for Foreigners in Chengdu, a regular event to offer employment opportunities for foreigners in Chengdu that was initiated in 2016 and held successively in the past seven years, recently opened in Chengdu as scheduled. More than 200 jobs were provided at the event of this year, which attracted about 400 expat job seekers from over 70 countries.
The event was sponsored by Chengdu Municipal Science and Technology Bureau (Chengdu Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs) and organized by Chengdu Productivity Promotion Center (Chengdu International Science and Technology Exchange Centre) and the Office of Talent Work of Wuhou District of Chengdu. Nearly 50 employers, including SOBEY Digital Technology; Chengdu Advanced Power Semiconductor, College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, Chengdu ANS Honors Co.ltd and Basis International School Sichuan, attended the event with career opportunities covering the fields of electronics and communications, smart manufacturing, digital cultural and creative production, enterprise services, education and so on. Officials from government departments including Chengdu Municipal Science and Technology Bureau (Chengdu Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs) and the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of Chengdu Public Security Bureau were present at the event giving advice and handling inquiries about relevant policies.
A venue of six zones was set up at the spot offering cultural interactive activities of ICH items such as lacquered fan, dragon lantern, caramel painting, rope weaving, tea ritual and aroma sachet, to showcase the colorful cultures of Chengdu and help foreigners learn more about the living and working environment of the city.
Job Fair for Foreigners in Chengdu serves as a platform to meet the needs of enterprises and foreign talents, and help the city to enhance its attractiveness among young talents in foreign countries in its pursuit of building a highland of high-level talents and innovation center.
