Medical and health institutions in Gongshu

Gongshu District has 882 medical and health institutions of various types, including 9 tertiary hospitals, 13 community health service centers, 4 hospitals that can provide international services, with 18.36 beds and 8.83 practicing (assistant) physicians per 1,000 people. In recent years, centering around "promoting medicine through science and education" and "talented doctors" strategies, the district has successfully built an advantageous brand "see a traditional Chinese medicine doctor in Gongshu", as its traditional Chinese medicine development index was ranked first among the 28 main urban areas in the province for two consecutive years. It has successfully created a national advanced unit for grassroots traditional Chinese medicine work and a national community health service demonstration zone with traditional Chinese medicine features, and to a large extent, has formed a new pattern of grassroots traditional Chinese medicine services of "comprehensive coverage, reasonable structure, and distinct advantages". We keep polishing the golden brand of "sunshine little kid" and successfully created first batch of inclusive and affordable basic public service pilot areas for childcare in the province. We are the first in the province to achieve full sub-district coverage of government-owned private childcare institutions and model growth stations. In 2019, it was recognized as the only infant care demonstration center in the country by the China Family Planning Association.
