Employees (both active and retired), residents, and land-expropriated over-retirement-age individuals covered by medical insurance in Beijing can now complete online medical insurance settlements via their mobile phones during hospital visits, paying only the personal out-of-pocket expenses (including co-payment).
Mobile medical insurance payment brings the insurance settlement counter straight to users' phones, offering a "no-queue, instant payment" experience. Expenses including registration fees and outpatient costs (for examinations, treatments, and medications) can all be paid this way, resolving problems such as repeated visits, long lines, and excessive waiting time for insured patients when making payments.
To date, over 200 hospitals in Beijing have launched mobile medical insurance payment services. Looking ahead, the city will expand the service to more hospitals to benefit even more people and make healthcare more accessible and efficient.
