The steamed bingliang (means: cool or cold) cake (冰凉糕) is a best summer dessert in Yichang, central China’s Hubei Province.
It is made of rice, sugar and rice wine. After 4 to 5 hours’ shaping, it will be steamed.
The steamed bingliang cake looks snow-white in color, very smooth in appearance. It becomes soft, sticky in the mouth, flavorful to the nose.
