2026 Suzhou spring events calendar

The 2026 Suzhou International Tourism Year · Spring Tourism Season will open on March 21, featuring four themed parts (Spring Scenery, Spring Fun, Spring Races, and Spring Perks) with over 100 cultural and tourism activities running through May.

Spring Scenery

2026 Suzhou Flower Show

The 2026 Suzhou Flower Show will deliver a springtime floral experience that combines visual splendor, artistic charm, and interactive engagement through enhanced floral displays, innovative horticultural designs, and refined visitor experiences. The Floral Suzhou Crabapple Market will open on April 2. The event will also feature the 2026 Garden Ceremony.

Venue: Suzhou Shangfangshan National Forest Park (Suzhou Botanical Garden) 

Kunshan Flower Event

The event combines the seasonal floral features of Jiangnan, the cultural landmarks of Kunshan, and a festive ambiance to create an immersive cultural experience.

Time: Every month

Venue: Kunshan 

Cherry Blossom Wonderland: Spring Adventure Event

Guangfu Scenic Area will launch cherry blossom-themed shuttle buses and distribute Cherry Blossom Passports for stamp-collecting rewards. Visitors can enjoy gifts from Flower Goddesses, along with picnics, art workshops, a cherry blossom market, and a matchmaking corner.

Time: April 1 to 6; April 11 and 12

SND Spring Flower Appreciation

The event will feature cherry blossom-themed trams connecting major flower viewing spots across the district, along with the release of spring flower viewing maps and cherry blossom fairs. The annual Shushan Village Pear Blossom Season will also begin in late March.

Spring Fun

Jincun Village Temple Fair

The Jincun Village Temple Fair, originating in the Song Dynasty (960-1279), centers around the Yongchang Temple in Jincun Village. Held annually on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month, it honors the anti-pirate hero Jin Qi through rituals and cultural activities. In 2014, it was included in the National Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Venue: Jincun Village, Zhangjiagang

Wujiang Silk Rhythm and Radiance Silk Series Activities

The events include silk-themed cultural tourism activities, the Xiaoman (Grain Buds) customs experience week (featuring rituals like the worship ceremony, traditional opera, blessing parades, festive markets, and customs), the Taihu Snow mulberry-picking festival, the reopening of the revitalized Zhenze Silk Museum, and the second edition of the Mulberry Harvest Season.

Spring Outing at North Taihu Rape Flower Event

The event features daytime flower viewing, family-friendly activities, and cultural tourism experiences. Highlights include the Silang Market, a "Treasure Hunt in Flower Fields" stamp-collecting game, the Suzhou Family Hiking Challenge and nature-themed study workshops.

Mountain Flower Fair

The fair blends Suzhou's local intangible cultural heritage with national intangible cultural heritage, creating a vibrant folk art feast that combines Guochao (China-chic) trends with lively local charm.

Time: March 28 to April 6; April 30 to May 5

Venue: Tang Yin's Former Residence 唐寅故居, Gusu District

Reading Week

The Reading Week, in collaboration with Suzhou Library, is held in metro spaces. By integrating bookstore resources and cultural creativity products, the event features themed markets, children's painting and essay contests, and art exhibitions.

Ga Shen Xian

The annual God-in-the-Crowd Festival (Ga Shen Xian) falls on the 14th day of the 4th lunar month. It is an 800-year-old folk cultural activity that enjoys great popularity in Suzhou and is reputed to be a carnival of local people.

This vibrant event integrates free TCM clinics, flower markets, folk crafts, and snack fairs. In 2014, it was inscribed into China's National Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

2026 Peace Elite Village Super Carnival

The 2026 Peace Elite Village Super Carnival has officially arrived in Dongshan Town, Suzhou! Featuring 150 village competition hubs and 20 elite teams in live esports battles, the event also offers Song Dynasty cultural experiences, a Taihu Farmer's Spring Market, Taihu Cityboat tours, interactive pony rides, and meet-and-greets with Peace Elite streamers.
