Introduction

Malvern College Qingdao was established in 2012 as an independent middle school. Over the last 9 years, MCQ has grown to have the largest number of foreign teachers, the highest ratio of teachers to students and the largest number of students in Shandong Province.

Malvern College Qingdao is located in the eastern part of Chengyang district, close to the picturesque Lao Mountains. It boasts a beautiful 50 acre campus, one of the largest in the province. Continental architecture establishes the historical and cultural spirit of global education.

MCQ’s extensive faculty have graduated from world-renowned universities such as Oxford, Harvard and Cambridge; the total number of foreign teachers is now over 60, accounting for 70 percent of the total staff.

Our student population has grown to 750 with a maximum capacity of 850. Our school has been awarded the title of ‘Excellent Edexcel Center of the Year’ for two consecutive years by virtue of its advanced management, high-quality teaching and outstanding achievements in higher education. This is a milestone in the history of our school's development.

Course Overview

Malvern College Qingdao is fundamentally student-orientated. In order to wholly develop their potentials, student academic profiles are broad and interrelated, ensuring a combination of both Chinese and British curriculums. We ensure students’ personalised development, adhering to their individualistic needs, whilst providing an immersive bilingual environment. Along with the British curriculum, Malvern College Qingdao ensures all students complete the nine years of compulsory Chinese education. Standard courses from the Chinese curriculum are built into the regular timetable alongside A-level and IGCSE options, cultivating an authentic bilingual education and cross-cultural appreciation of the world.
