Notes: The show is about 155 minutes long with a 20-minute intermission. Children under 1.2 meters will not be admitted. It will be performed entirely in English with Chinese subtitles, accompanied by a live orchestra.

Suzhou will be its only stop in Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Anhui. Since its debut in 1986, "The Phantom of the Opera" has been widely considered one of the most beautiful and spectacular productions in history. To recreate the grandeur of the Paris Opera House, the show spares no expense to deliver massive sets that transform every five minutes on average, more than 230 lavish costumes, and a dazzling one-tonne crystal chandelier adorned with 6,000 beads.

Unlike other musicals, the production will feature a semi-open orchestra pit seamlessly integrated into the storyline. A dozen musicians will ensure the performance is truly immersive.

"The Phantom of the Opera" is the headliner of the first Suzhou Bay International Performance Season, which presents 10 major productions across drama, musical, stage play, and dance in four months.
