The launch ceremony for the 85th anniversary of the Flying Tigers' arrival in China to fight in the War of Resistance was held on July 16 at the Nanjing Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs Memorial Hall. Peter Gostham Moyer, son of 105-year-old Flying Tigers veteran Harry Moyer, posed for photos holding both old and new portraits of his father. He told reporters that seeing his father's photograph displayed for so long in the memorial hall moved him deeply, and he was profoundly touched by the respect and gratitude shown by the Chinese people. He added that his father genuinely respects the Chinese people from the bottom of his heart and is willing to do whatever he can to help.
