Suzhou

On August 12, the international youth event "Green Code: China's Wisdom" on river ecosystem governance, jointly hosted by Xinhua News Agency Media Group and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, arrived in Suzhou. Naveed Ahmed, a deputy researcher at the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Changchun), from Pakistan, expressed admiration after visiting the Suzhou Industrial Park Circular Economy Industrial Park. He noted that the park collects waste from multiple points and processes it centrally, achieving full resource utilization—a model for green development.

Upon arriving at the Pingjiang Historic and Cultural District, Naveed remarked that Pingjiang Road vividly illustrates the inseparable connection between people and water. Looking back at human history, civilizations have always thrived along waterways, and the ancient streets alongside the canals are a clear embodiment of this harmonious relationship between humanity and water.
