Tangshan shadow play stands as a treasure within the realm of traditional Chinese performing arts.  Originating from Tangshan City in Hebei Province, it boasts a rich history infused with distinct local characteristics and artistic allure.  Its unique production process draws from the ancient Chinese traditions of paper cutting and shadow play, evolving over centuries to cultivate a style and charm uniquely its own.  The production process requires high-quality donkey skin. After steaming, drying, cutting and coloring and other steps, it is finally carved into lifelike human figures, characterized by vivid image, bright color, flexible movement and vivid expression.
