Latest Food Map in Beijing
Beijing introduced 474 first-ever restaurants, selected and announced 22 "Night Capital City" check-in spots for foodies and 12 specialty food streets, and released 20 food maps such as Beijing Offices of the provincial-level administrative divisions in China and International Restaurants and ten tour routes under the theme of "Wandering in Beijing - Enjoy Great Shows and Delicious Food!". In 2024, Beijing made a series of steps to establish itself as a global center for food.
In Beijing, new restaurants are opening one after another, attracting customers eager to try them out. Various specialty restaurants in the neighborhood and "late-night canteens" satisfy the taste buds of diners in Beijing. There is always something to satisfy your palate, from the upscale, sophisticated, and foreign restaurants that capture the essence of Beijing as a global metropolis to the specialized restaurants that serve crayfish and grilled skewers.
As Beijing's catering format becomes more diversified, integrated development has yielded new results. In 2024, Beijing supported high-quality catering in parks, scenic spots, and venues and successively released 20 food maps, including Beijing Liaison Office Restaurants and International Restaurants and ten tour routes under the theme of "Wandering in Beijing - Enjoy Great Shows and Delicious Food!"; Beijing Hub of Tour Dispatch launched gourmet sightseeing bus routes around the central axis, Chaoyang District, and other locations in 2024.
As Beijing encourages high-quality development of catering, supply services have achieved new progress. Beijing has the most newly listed restaurants on the Chinese mainland, with 101 restaurants chosen for the Michelin Guide Beijing 2025, 137 restaurants on the must-eat list, 2,000 restaurants recognized as quality catering demonstration stores, and 37 restaurants included in the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide 2025.
