2024 Suzhou Marathon
The 2025 Suzhou Marathon is set to gun off at 7:30 a.m. on Mar. 2. Registration for this year’s edition started at 10:00 a.m. on Jan. 3 and will close at 5:00 p.m. on Jan. 12. The draw results will be released in mid-to-late January.
This year’s Suzhou Marathon will witness a big adjustment to the running course, with the Shishan Culture Square as the starting point and the Tongjing Park as the finishing point of the half marathon. The finishing part of the full marathon will still be at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center.
The health run will be removed from this year’s event which will only include a full marathon and a half marathon to be attended by 15,000 and 10,000 runners respectively. The two items share the same registration fee: 200 yuan per person. Marathon participants must be at least 20 years old (born on or before March 2, 2005), while half marathon participants must be at least 16 years old (born on or before March 2, 2009).
The 2025 Suzhou Marathon will feature a newly added Elite Group Race for those who are qualified with previous personal bests within 3 hours and 10 minutes at the A-class races held between January 1, 2023 and January 5, 2025 which can be checked on China’s official marathon website (runchina.org.cn). Runners will be grouped after the release of the draw results. Winners of the Elite Group Race will be awarded rich prizes and detailed competition rules will be announced later.
