Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Dongfang Hospital Qinhuangdao Hospital (Qinhuangdao Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine ) was founded in 1958 and is a top three comprehensive traditional Chinese medicine hospital in the Qinhuangdao area that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, and health care. It is the construction unit of the fourth batch of national regional medical center projects, Hebei Provincial Demonstration Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, National Health Management Demonstration Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, National Drug Clinical Trial Institution, National TCM Resident (General Practitioner) Standardization Training Base, National TCM Service Export Base, International Cooperation Base for TCM Health Care, National Anti smoking Demonstration Hospital, Qinhuangdao Branch of National acupuncture and moxibustion Clinical Research Center, Hebei Provincial Demonstration Unit for TCM Culture Construction, Hebei Provincial TCM Culture Publicity and Education Base, and Hebei Provincial TCM Health Tourism Base.

There are currently two hospital areas, namely the headquarters and Beidaihe New Area Hospital, with two outpatient departments under them. The headquarters covers an area of 45 acres with a building area of 77000 square meters. Currently, there are 625 open beds. After the new medical comprehensive building is put into use, the number of open beds will increase to 1025. The Beidaihe New Area campus project is currently under construction.

There are 1049 staff members in the hospital, of which 60.79% are practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine, 212 hold senior professional titles or above, and 153 hold 138 doctoral or master's degrees or above. The hospital has gathered a team of renowned doctors with both moral integrity and talent, as well as excellent technology. It has 25 key specialties (disciplines) at four levels: the National Health Commission, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Provincial Health Commission and the Municipal Health Commission, of which the Endocrinology Department is the national key clinical specialty, the Oncology Department and the Prevention Center are the key specialties of the National Administration of Traditional 139 Chinese Medicine, the Encephalopathy Department, the Dermatology Department, the Anorectal Department, the Cardiovascular Department, the Emergency Department (including the Department of Severe Medicine), the Nursing Department and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department are the provincial key specialties of traditional Chinese medicine, the Endocrinology Department is the provincial key construction discipline of traditional Chinese medicine, the Brain Rehabilitation Department, the Spleen and Stomach Department, the Laboratory Department, the Pulmonary Disease Department, the Emergency Department (including the Department of Severe Medicine), the Cardiovascular Department, the Nursing Department, the Chinese Medicine, the Pediatrics, the Acupuncture Surgery is a key (construction) discipline of municipal medicine and a key (construction) specialty of traditional Chinese medicine. There are currently 11 bases of various levels and types, 11 diagnosis and treatment centers, 23 specialized alliances, 16 national and provincial renowned traditional Chinese medicine studios, 2 provincial and municipal key research laboratories, and 7 advantageous traditional Chinese medicine specialties in Hebei Province.

The hospital has advanced medical facilities and complete large-scale equipment.
