OCT NATIONAL WETLAND PARK
The only urban coastal mangrove wetland in China.
Find your sanctuary, and let your soul breathe.
Introduction
Located in the North Area of OCT Harbour, OCT National Wetland Park spans approximately 685,000 square meters, including about 500,000 square meters of water bodies and nearly 50,000 square meters of mangrove wetlands. Home to diverse native flora and fauna, it forms a coastal mangrove ecosystem nestled within a modern metropolis. The park is equipped with ecological facilities, including an eco-exhibition hall, waterfront platforms, and bird-watching hides, functioning as an "urban coastal eco-museum" that combines ecological recreation with nature education.
Meet Our Migratory Birds
Originally a coastal mudflat along Shenzhen Bay, OCT Wetland was home to extensive coastal wetlands, shrubs, and windbreaks. It served as a key breeding site for coastal birds and an important stopover for migrants, constituting an essential component of Shenzhen Bay’s mangrove ecosystem. During the annual migratory season from November to April, flocks of birds gather here, animating the wetlands with vitality.
