Guangzhou Airport Launches QR Guide for Foreign Travelers

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has introduced a new multilingual QR-code entry guide at Terminal 2 (T2), bringing key arrival services closer to international passengers and offering a one-stop digital guide for immigration and onward travel.
As international travel and cross-border exchanges continue to recover, Baiyun Airport has been expanding its international flight network, with inbound and outbound passenger traffic steadily increasing. The rise has been particularly noticeable during the summer travel season.To improve the experience for international travelers and make border clearance more convenient, T2 has installed QR-code signs for the multilingual entry guide at key locations, including international arrival jet bridges and baggage claim areas. By moving the service touchpoint to the moment passengers step off the plane, the airport aims to provide a seamless experience from their “first look” upon arrival to access to essential services.

The new entry guide brings together five key service modules: Wi-Fi connection instructions, guidance on completing the arrival card, access to a one-stop service center for foreigners, comprehensive transportation information, and guidance on departure tax refunds.The guide supports multiple languages, including Chinese, English, French and Arabic, allowing passengers to switch languages with a single tap. After arriving, travelers can simply scan the QR code with their phones to access the full entry guide anytime, without having to rely on paper manuals.The transportation section covers six travel options, including the metro, intercity rail, taxis and ride-hailing services. Passengers can check designated pick-up points and operating hours for each option, helping them plan their routes in advance and start their trip in Guangzhou more smoothly.
