On October 29, 2024, Transoral Robotic Surgery System, the first domestically-made per oral robot for operative treatment, finished the per oral robot’s first operation on early-stage laryngocarcinoma in the world, filling the gap of the robot for operative treatments in head and neck surgery. The same day, the robots produced by Bornsmedical, a Chengdu-based company, completed three operations successfully in Chengdu, Shanghai and New Delhi, bringing the Chengdu-made robots into the spotlight of global attention.
Chengdu Robot Innovation Center released a series of robots at a press conference on December 27, 2024. These robots will be employed during the World Games 2025 Chengdu, taking part in the torch relays, public service and so on. The highlight of the released robots is Konka-1, a 25-kilogram super light robot responsible of interpreting commands, giving instructions and completing precision tasks. Konka-1 is equipped with a supercomputing and operational system capable of dealing complex situations, a witness of the city’s industrial power to combine advance technologies with practical applications.
