Guide to Booking Scenic Areas and Museums This Spring Festival

Recently, Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, and other sites have released their latest notices for the Spring Festival holiday, covering opening hours and ticketing arrangements. Let us take a look!

Wuhou Shrine Chengdu Temple Fair

The 2026 Wuhou Shrine Chengdu Temple Fair will be held from February 13 to March 3, 2026 at three main sections of Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum—the Cultural Relics Preservation Zone, the West Zone, and Jinli Culture Travel Street.

Opening Hours

Open 09:00-22:00 each day. Ticket sales for the temple fair will stop at 21:00.

The Hall of Statues and other exhibition halls in the Cultural Relics Preservation Zone will open until 18:00 each day.

Jinli Culture Travel Street will open to the public free of charge from 21:30 each day.

Reservation

Tickets can be booked through the WeChat Official Account of Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum. Visitors should provide accurate personal information for the ticket booking. Entry will be denied if the information does not match the ID document.





Chengdu International Panda Lantern Festival

Opening Hours

15:00-22:30 (last entry 21:30)

From February 17 to February 23 during the Spring Festival holiday, the venue will open with extended hours until 23:00.

It is recommended to book tickets online in advance to avoid queuing on site for a swift entry.

Transportation

Visitors can take Metro Line 2 to Honghe Station or Line 13 to Long’an Station. Dedicated shuttle buses available outside the exits will take visitors directly to the lantern festival.

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

Real-name reservation and time-limited entry are in place to manage visitor flow.

Opening Hours

Morning tickets entry time: 08:00-12:00

Afternoon tickets entry time: 12:00-16:30

Closing time: 17:30

Reservation

Tickets must be booked online with real names. Visitors can book tickets in advance through the “成都大熊猫繁育研究基地” (“Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding”) WeChat Official Account or the namesake WeChat Mini Program.

Entry Requirements

International visitors with successful reservations must present their original Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card at the channel labeled with “Entry with an original ID card” or their passport at the channel labeled with “Entry without an original ID card”. Admission requires one valid ID per person. Entry will be denied if the visitor’s identity does not match the document.

Mount Qingcheng and Dujiangyan Irrigation System Scenic Areas

 

Reservation

Tickets can be booked with real names through the WeChat Official Accounts of the scenic areas—“青城山都江堰” (“Mount Qingcheng and Dujiangyan Irrigation System”) and “悦游都江堰” (“Fun Travel in Dujiangyan”).

International visitors are required to purchase tickets with their passport or Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card and enter the scenic areas through the manual check channel; alternatively, they can purchase tickets by presenting relevant ID document at the on-site ticket office.
