Opening Conference on International Exchange of Professionals in Xiongan New Area

On September 9, Conference on International Exchange of Professionals in Xiongan New Area (hereinafter referred to as the "Xiongan Conference") opened in the Xiongan New Area. The Xiongan Conference was hosted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) and organized by Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Hebei Provincial Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau) and the Management Committee of Xiongan New Area.
This year's Xiongan Conference was marked by notable features such as the high caliber of foreign experts, the large number of international social organizations and research institutions, and their advanced level of expertise, successfully establishing a communication platform that brings together high-level foreign experts. During the conference, several important collaborations were reached: Hebei Normal University and the Foreign Talent Research Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security agreed to cooperate on comprehensive supporting reforms for foreign talent, with plans to build a research platform in the Xiongan New Area to support its internationalization efforts; the Hebei (Xiongan New Area) Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Talent established a partnership with the European Association of Small and Medium Enterprises; and enterprises and institutions such as Hebei Shenghao Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. reached 29 cooperation agreements with five foreign academicians, focusing on fields like electronic information. The 15 foreign academician-level experts attending the Xiongan Conference conducted on-site inspections of the Xiongan New Area’s development and expressed their strong willingness to further engage in exchanges and cooperation with Hebei and the Xiongan New Area.
Since September 6, participating foreign experts have been arriving at enterprises and institutions across the province to engage in high-frequency exchanges and collaborations with overseas talent, particularly in five key areas including biomedicine. Foreign academicians shared insights on the integration of industrial technology innovation and cutting-edge technological trends. At the Xiongan Conference on September 9, Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Hebei Provincial Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau) and the Management Committee of Xiongan New Area delivered presentations on accelerating the development of a service and support system for foreign talent in Hebei Province, as well as the planning and construction progress of the Xiongan New Area. Following the opening ceremony, parallel sessions focusing on three sectors, including biomedicine, were held. These sessions further enhanced foreign experts' understanding of the innovation policies in Hebei and the Xiongan New Area, while establishing communication channels between foreign experts and innovation entities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The Xiongan Conference of this year brought together a distinguished gathering of participants, including 15 academicians and experts from prestigious research institutions such as the German National Academy of Science and Engineering and the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, 8 leaders of international social organizations, 25 renowned scholars, and 68 corporate executives. Also in attendance were over 200 Chinese and international guests, including representatives from the Department of Foreign Expert Services and the Foreign Talent Research Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, leading officials responsible for foreign expert management from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, as well as delegates from higher education institutions, medical organizations, research institutes, and other enterprises and institutions across the region.
