Enshi launches direct flight to Daegu, South Korea

As Flight TW697 from Daegu smoothly landed at Enshi Xujiaping International Airport at 12:02 on Dec. 2, 2025, the air route between Enshi, Hubei Province, and Daegu, South Korea, was offically launched.

This is the second direct flight route to South Korea opened in Enshi, following the route linking Enshi and Seoul.

Operated by South Korea’s T’way Air with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, the route has arranged seven round-trip flights in December. The schedule is as follows: Flight TW697 (Daegu 08:25 – Enshi 12:25) and Flight TW698 (Enshi 13:25 – Daegu 16:25) on Dec. 2, 6, 14, and 18, as well as Flight TW697 (Daegu 09:55 – Enshi 12:55) and Flight TW698 (Enshi 14:00 – Daegu 18:00) on Dec. 10, 22, and 26.

So far, Enshi Xujiaping International Airport has launched a total of seven international and regional routes, including flights to Seoul (South Korea), Daegu (South Korea), Hanoi (Vietnam), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Bangkok (Thailand), Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) and Hong Kong (China). Since the beginning of this year, foreign passengers have contributed to nearly 70 percent of the total international trips at the airport, reflecting the continuous growth of its global connections. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
