Three Heroic Islands Battlefield Sightseeing Park

The three islands of heroes are Dadeng, Xiaodeng, and Jiaoyu. Located in the southeast of Xiang'an District, Xiamen City, facing Jinmen Island across the sea, it is the closest place in China to Jinmen Island (the closest distance is only 1800 meters). During the shelling of Kinmen on August 23, 1958, the people of the three islands fought side by side with the stationed troops, defending the islands and achieving brilliant results. They were awarded the glorious title of "Hero Three Islands" by the Central Military Commission.

The "Hero Three Islands Battlefield Sightseeing Park" is located at the southeast end of the picturesque Dadeng Island, on the site of the former Frontline Broadcasting Station air compressor room, covering an area of about 80000 square meters. This place experienced the baptism of the 1958 "8.23 Artillery Battle" and was once a ruin of war. The front-line battlefield, which used to be heavily bombarded with gunfire, has now taken on a new look, and the tourist park is full of vitality everywhere.
The Hero Three Islands Battlefield Sightseeing Park is a national 3A level tourist attraction, and has been awarded honorary titles such as Fujian Province Patriotic Education Base, Provincial Party History Education Base, Provincial Party History Learning and Education Visiting and Learning Point, Provincial National Defense Education Base, Provincial Primary and Secondary School Research and Practice Education Base, Provincial Social Science Popularization Education Base, Provincial Cultural Protection Unit, Provincial Women's Patriotic Education Base, Provincial New Era National Defense Science and Technology Industry Cultural Education Base, Xiamen Coastal Defense Education Base, etc. The "Hero Three Islands Battlefield Tourist Park" is a handwritten inscription by Comrade Chi Haotian, former Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, State Councilor, and Minister of National Defense.
There are more than ten exhibition halls and attractions in the park, including the "Hero Three Islands Spirit Theme Exhibition", "Hero Three Islands Old Photos and Objects Exhibition", "Hero Three Islands Militia Deeds Exhibition", "Frontline Broadcasting History Exhibition", "Red Memory Collection Exhibition", "World's Largest Military Broadcasting Horn", "Former Site of Artillery Field", "Battlefield Maze", etc. There are also interactive experience facilities such as "Navigation Science Popularization Exhibition", "Simulated Reality Experience Hall", "Laser Gun Target Shooting", "Ancient Artillery Shooting Range", "Battlefield Expansion Center", "CS Live Shooting Range", etc. At the same time, combined with the unique military cultural advantages of the park, party building and team building expansion of enterprises and institutions, youth extracurricular practice and military research have been carried out.
