A: If you're here to work, study or travel, but you're staying at a friend's house, or a temporarily rented room, apartment or house, then you'll need to register at the police station nearest to the place that you're staying within 24 hours of arriving here in Shanghai.

The registration should be handled at:

1. Scan the QR code to sign up first before registration.

2. Select a language and register.

3. Select the certificate type after logging in and upload the certificate photo. (The system can automatically identify the image information, but please check carefully whether the identification information is correct.)
4. After the information is confirmed to be correct, click "Agree" in the Letter of Commitment and then submit.
5. Wait for the review result. On approval, a Registration Form of Temporary Residence will be generated automatically. Please download and keep it for future reference.
