Enjoy visa-free journey in Southwest Fujian

On October 20th, the "Southwest Fujian In Celebration, The World Invited" 2025 Cultural Tourism Promotion Event for Foreigners Under the 240-hour Visa-free Transit Policy was held in Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian Province, where six "Southwest Fujian Itineraries for Inbound Tourists" were released.

The Southwest Fujian cities cluster includes Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou, Longyan, and Sanming. Nearly 100 participants, including representatives from international travel agencies, airlines, inbound tour operators, and foreign tourists, gathered to experience the diverse charm of Southwest Fujian's culture and tourism.
The promotion event focused on showcasing the cultural and tourism resources of the five cities in Southwest Fujian to international tourists. The six itineraries are carefully designed to fit within the visa-free transit period and cover three major themes.
The "Classic World Heritage Tour" features two routes that connect key UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Gulangyu Island, ancient tulou clusters, and Taining Danxia landscapes.
The "Intangible Cultural Heritage and Culinary Journey" involves museums, hands-on cultural workshops, and local gourmet delights across the five cities.
Meanwhile, the "Trendy Leisure Travels" offer unique recreational and wellness experiences, providing international visitors with a one-stop, high-quality travel guide.
During the event, tourism authorities from the five cities of Southwest Fujian held in-depth exchanges with international travel agencies and airline representatives regarding the convenience and service support of the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, jointly exploring pathways to enhance the travel experience and satisfaction of international tourists.
A noteworthy highlight was the unexpected appearance of a "culture and tourism flash mob squad" featuring Xiamen's zhuangyuanlang (participants who won the top prize in the Mid-Autumn Bobing, mooncake dice game), Quanzhou's Hui'an women, Zhangzhou's glove puppetry, Longyan's string puppet theater, and Sanming's She ethnic women. The squad delivered brilliant performances rich with local character at the event.
