On September 13, the 2026 Nanjing International University Rowing Open reached its final day of competition, as rowers from universities including Oxford, Cambridge, and the University of Melbourne showcased their speed and passion on the Qinhuai River in Nanjing. Now in its fourth edition, the event has drawn praise from Axel Miller, member of the World Rowing Council and Chair of the Youth Rowing Committee, who said, "This international competition is far more than just a sporting event—it's a vibrant celebration of cross-cultural exchange." He also noted that the Qinhuai River offers excellent water conditions, and Nanjing has provided strong support to ensure the event's continued success.
