To accelerate the development of an international talent development leading zone and establish itself as the "Premier City for Youth Entrepreneurship," the Pudong New Area has recently launched a new round of the "Pearl Program." The "Pearl Program" is designed to attract high-level talent from around the world who are at the forefront of international science and technology and leading independent technological innovation, while also identifying and nurturing innovative and entrepreneurial talent with leading roles or high growth potential. The program consists of four major talent categories: Pearl Summit Talent, Pearl Leading Talent, Pearl Elite Talent, and Pearl Engineer, offering tiered and categorized targeted support. Selected individuals and teams are eligible for special funding ranging from ¥200,000 to ¥7 million, alongside a suite of supplemented benefits including project subsidies, startup grants, and housing allowances -- to provide comprehensive support for research and entrepreneurial development. Since the implementation of the "Pearl Program," over 3,700 talents have been selected. The application period for the expert review track of this year's program runs from June 22 to August 7. Applicants can log on to the Pudong New Area Talent Policy Service Platform (https://rczc.pudong.gov.cn) or the "PuYida" Pudong New Area Enterprise Policy Service Platform (https://pyd.pudong.gov.cn/website/pud) for inquiries and applications.
