The Myanmar mainstream media group visited Guangzhou to exchange media experience

A delegation comprised of chief editors, journalists and editors from state-owned and private media institutions in Myanmar embarked on its Guangdong tour on Thursday.

On their first stop, these media professionals visited Guangzhou Daily and had a symposium with their counterparts in Guangdong.  

Media professionals from Guangzhou Daily and Myanmar shared their own news coverage experiences and development projects, particularly underscoring the new media in light of the cutting-edge technologies available today.

The two sides agreed to enhance further possible collaboration on reporting news in economy, culture,travel and people-to-people exchanges between China and Myanmar. 

Win Tin, chief editor of the Northern Light Journey from Myanmar noted that he was impressed by a modernized Guangzhou abundant with cultural heritage and the beauty of the landscape.
"In my study, Guangzhou is a very productive city. The city produces so much clothing and seafood. The products of the Guangzhou are popular in Western countries," he added.
Mr. Win Tin also pointed out that Myanmar aspires to make progress, and he can take this tour as an opportunity to share progress, development and technology in Guangdong with his country.   
It is known that the delegation will spend three days in Guangdong, where they will also visit tech companies such as Huawei in Shenzhen.
