Exhibition Titled "Exploring Hunan's Intangible Cultural Heritage"

The exhibition showcases nearly 20 representative intangible cultural heritage items including Hunan embroidery, Miao embroidery, Miao painting, Dong brocade, Tujia brocade, Changsha Tongguan Kiln ceramics, black tea processing techniques, and Nvshu (women's script) customs. Through text, artifacts, and immersive displays that blend modern visual language with traditional aesthetics, the exhibition vividly showcases the artistic beauty and cultural meaning of Hunan's intangible cultural heritage. 


The Year of the Horse Zodiac Culture Exhibition
Duration: January 30-March 15, 2026
Venue: Longping Rice Museum
Themed around the Horse, one of the twelve Chinese zodiac animals, the exhibition is divided into four chapters. These sections respectively explore the origin and evolution of the Horse in the zodiac system, as well as its images in the natural world, history, and folk traditions, demonstrating the animal's unique allure throughout China's long history.


Intangible Cultural Heritage Art Exhibition for the New Year of Horse

Duration: January 24-May 24, 2026
Venue: MICA Art Museum
Centered on the Year of the Horse and folk art, the exhibition showcases over 600 representative intangible cultural heritage works from more than ten provinces including Shaanxi, Shanxi, and Hunan.


Two Grassland-themed Oil Painting Exhibitions

Duration: January 31-March 8, 2026
Venue: Li Zijian Art Museum
The National Tour Exhibition of Liu Yajiang's Grassland Paintings and the Exhibition of Li Bo's Oil Paintings collectively showcase 290 works featuring grassland themes, inviting visitors to experience the charm of northern China's frontier landscapes. 


Exhibition of Snuff Bottles
Duration: February 10-May 5, 2026
Venue: Longping Rice Museum
The exhibition brings together over 200 precious snuff bottles dating back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and the Republic of China (1912-1949) period. Crafted from a rich variety of materials, these bottles feature diverse forms and an array of intricate techniques, fully demonstrating the ingenuity and superb artistry of ancient Chinese craftsmen. They vividly bring to life the arts and crafts of the Qing Dynasty, embodying the traditional Chinese spirit of embracing the grand while attending to the delicate.


Two Print Works Themed Exhibitions in Celebration of Spring Festival

Duration: till June 2026
Venue: Yuandian Art Museum
The European print works exhibition systematically presents nearly 100 original prints by nearly 80 western masters spanning five centuries, featuring masterpieces by Dürer, Rembrandt, Cézanne, Picasso, and other giants. The Chinese New Year invitational exhibition showcases the latest works by over a dozen renowned Chinese printmakers.
