The First Hebei Province Overseas Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals Successfully Concludes

From March 27th to 28th, the finals of The First Hebei Province Overseas Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held at the Hebei (Shijiazhuang) Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Professionals. With the theme "Innovating Globally, Hebei Looking Forward to the Future," the competition was open to projects in the fields of biomedicine, equipment manufacturing, and new-generation information technology. Since its launch on January 28th, a total of 224 teams have registered to compete. After several rounds of selection, including preliminary rounds, 30 high-level projects advanced to the finals. At the final venue, projects were systematically presented in a format of "8-minute roadshow + 7-minute defense." The judging panel focused on the project's R&D capabilities, market prospects, and business models, and scored the projects based on their potential to be implemented in Hebei. After fierce competition, the project "Wearable Intelligent Device for Human Motion Monitoring and Protection" won the first prize; three projects including "3C Patch for Innovative Treatment of Diabetic Foot and Other Chronic Wounds" received the second prize; and five projects including "Research and Application of Exosomes" won the third prize. The competition aimed at project implementation, and during the finals, financial matchmaking and landing requirement meetings were organized for the participants, with several teams reaching cooperation intentions with enterprises and medical institutions. Next, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Provincial Foreign Expert Bureau) will continue to build a broad platform for overseas innovation and entrepreneurship talents, promote "attracting intelligence through competition," establish a strong magnetic field for gathering overseas talents in Hebei, attract high-level talents to settle in Hebei, and provide talent and intellectual support to help our province's enterprises enhance their innovation capabilities and achieve high-quality development.
