How to Replace a Lost or Damaged Social Security Card?

Step 1

Search for the official WeChat account of Beijing Municipal Human Resource and Social Security Bureau on WeChat and follow it.

Step 2
Tap "Microservices" (微服务) on the menu at the bottom, and then tap "Personal Services" (个人办理).

Step 3
Tap "Replacement of/Second Application for First and Second-Generation Social Security Cards" (第一二代社保卡补换卡或二次申领) under the "Social Security" (社会保障) category.

Step 4

Log in to the Beijing Unified Identity Authentication Platform.

Step 5
After the system pops up the "Notification on Online Replacement of or Application for Beijing Social Security Card" (北京市社会保障卡网上补换卡或卡申领告知书), read the content carefully and tap "Agree" (同意).

Step 6
After confirming your insurance information according to the system's prompts, click "Card Collection Method" (领卡方式) to select the method of receiving your social security card.
You can choose "Self-Pickup at a Social Security Card Outlet" (社保卡网点自取) or "Express Delivery" (补换卡快递), and click "Confirm" (确认) after selection.
Tips: During the card replacement period, electronic medical insurance vouchers can be used as usual. You can have your medical insurance code scanned when seeking medical treatment.
