The Suzhou Science and Technology Museum will officially open to the public at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow.
Located at Shishan Cultural Square in Suzhou New District, the museum covers a floor area of 63,000 square meters and resembles a jade ruyi, a traditional scepter symbolizing good fortune. Featuring traditional cultural elements of Suzhou and modern architecture design, the museum is designed as both a new landmark and an immersive journey into science.
With a total of four floors, the museum revolves around the theme of "Microscopic World." The experience begins with an introduction to the microbial systems that sustain life before tracing humanity's exploration of quantum physics and nanotechnology. It culminates in the mysteries and fantasies of the cosmos.
The museum has 511 sets of customized exhibits, seven permanent exhibition halls, three spaces for temporary exhibitions, seven study tour rooms and three theaters. All exhibition halls were developed in collaboration with leading universities, research institutes and high-tech companies.
