Beijing Central Axis-Themed Subway Train for Line 2 Launched

On September 7, the launch ceremony of the train themed on Beijing's Central Axis for the Subway Line 2 and the donation ceremony of commemorative tickets for the train were held. The special train features the elements of the iconic buildings and historical culture of the 15 heritage sites along the Central Axis of Beijing, showcasing the historical and cultural landscape along this axis. It will run from September 7, 2024 to March 7, 2025.
During the event, Beijing Subway unveiled 13 sets of subway ticket cards featuring the cultural elements of the Central Axis of Beijing. In addition, from 13:00 to 17:00 on September 7 at Gulou Dajie Station, Beijing Subway set up exhibition boards presenting the culture of Beijing's Central Axis and offered special stamps integrating the elements of the cultural heritage sites along the axis. Passengers could take photos and collect stamps there. Locals and tourists can also watch the "Central Axis on Cloud" exhibition online by scanning the QR code with WeChat, to gain a deeper understanding of Beijing's Central Axis culture.
