Recently, 51 AI translators have been deployed and put into operation at the Summer Palace. Each device can intelligently recognize and translate 75 languages to ensure smooth communication between tourists and staff workers.
With the arrival of the summer peak tourist season, the Summer Palace has seen a surge in international tourists, which poses new challenges for its language services. To enhance service quality, the scenic area put into operation, on a trial basis, an intelligent translation intercom system and handheld dual-screen translators on June 10. These were officially put into full use on July 7.
The scenic area has deployed a total of
51 AI translators. Specifically, at the
three busiest gates (the East Palace Gate, North Palace Gate, and New Palace Gate), "primary-secondary units" enable
real-time translation at service windows. Additionally,
48 locations, including tourist service centers, boat docks, shops, and guided tour points, provide "handheld units" to meet mobile consultation needs.
Moreover, smart translation devices are also available at the
major boat docks of the Summer Palace. Many international tourists have already used these devices to consult staff workers, learning how to use the
5G-powered "Smart Boat" service to scan codes for placing orders and self-checkout. Thanks to these devices, international tourists are able to enjoy the same convenient services as domestic tourists.
