Guide to Weixin Pay Services for Overseas Users

Weixin Pay offers a comprehensive domestic payment solution for foreigners in China. 

What Payment Options Do We Offer? 

Within China, Weixin Pay is widely accepted across all business scenarios, offering users three payment methods that nearly cover all industries, including dining, retail, and transportation. 

I. Pay with a Bank Card Linked to WeChat

Link your bank card to WeChat app for payment, which covers all payment methods of Weixin Pay. Supported bank cards: 

Quickly activate Weixin Pay in 2 steps 

Step 1: Download WeChat 
Please download the latest version of WeChat app and register or log in with your domestic or overseas phone number. 

Step 2: Link a bank card 
Tap [Me] on the bottom right corner > [Pay and Services] > [Wallet] > [Bank Cards] > [Add a Bank Card] to add a bank card. 

How to use 

Method 1: Scan to pay 
Open WeChat, on the top right corner, tap "+" "Scan", and scan the payment collection QR code. 

Method 2: Present your QR code to pay 
Open WeChat, on the top right corner, tap "+" "Money" and present your payment code to the offline merchant. 

Method 3: Pay at the checkout 
Select Weixin Pay in the merchant's app checkout to complete the payment. 

II. Pay with an Overseas E-Wallet

If you prefer using a familiar overseas e-wallet, simply open it to make payments. 

Which E-Wallets Can I Use? 

When you see the "微信支付" or "Weixin Pay" logo in China.

you can use the above e-wallet to scan the QR code or present your QR code for payment.
