Updates on Beijing Subway

By the end of this month, Beijing's rail transit network will welcome three major new lines or extensions: the central section of Line 17 (Shilihe-Workers' Stadium), Line 18 (Malianwa-Tiantongyuandong), and the southern extension of Line 6 (Lucheng-Luyang).
Line 17 connects major residential and business areas such as Yizhuang, the CBD, Future Science City, Tiantongyuan, and Beiqijia. With the opening of the central section, the line will become fully operational, with Dongdaqiao Station offering transfers to Line 6 and Yong'anli Station connecting with Line 1.
All stations on Line 17 are equipped with nursing rooms, family-accessible restrooms, and automated external defibrillators (AEDs). To enhance winter waiting conditions, warm seat cushions have been added to platform benches. Large-print signage has been introduced at station entrances and exits to improve visibility from a distance. At Yong'anli Station, which serves a high volume of international passengers, multilingual translation devices have been provided, and bilingual signage has been optimized.
