Acceptance Authority

1.Restoring Chinese nationality

Applicants: Expats who have previously held Chinese nationality and have legitimate reasons can apply for the restoration of Chinese nationality. Those who have been approved to restore Chinese nationality shall not retain foreign nationality.

2.Joining Chinese nationality
Applicants: Expats or stateless individuals who are willing to abide by the Chinese Constitution and laws and meet one of the following conditions may apply for approval to be Chinese citizens:
a.The close relatives of a Chinese citizen;
b.Those who settle in China;
c.There are other legitimate reasons.
3.Renouncing Chinese nationality
Applicants: Chinese citizens who meet one of the following conditions may apply to renounce their Chinese nationality:
a.Close relatives of another Nation’s citizen;
b.Those who settle in an expat countries;
c.There are other legitimate reasons.
