The extensive ring-like greenway runs across 12 administrative divisions in Chengdu, providing local residents new experiences in its ecological environment including a variety of sports venues, cultural facilities, smart rest stops, smart running tracks, and smart IoT poles. At the 2023 China Outdoor Sports Industry Conference, the greenway was awarded the “2023 China’s Best Outdoor Cycling Route” (one of the 10 routes selected) by the Chinese Cycling Association, making it the only route from Sichuan Province to be included.

Beilin Cycling Greenway

The Beilin Cycling Greenway in Wenjiang District spans 65 kilometers and is also a part of the extensive Tianfu Greenway system. The greenway extends to cover an ecological preservation area of several hundred square kilometers in the north, connecting Lujiatan Ecological Wetland Park, Fenghuang (Phoenix) Town of Healthy life and Cultural Tourism, Shou’an Botanic and Weaving Art Park along its way. The route offers an agreeable sightseeing tour of most of the major scenic spots in Wenjiang District, featuring idyllic beauty, natural environment and historical vestiges.

Xingfu Laidao Cycling Route

in Qionglai

The Xingfu Laidao Cycling Route in Qionglai, spans 12.5 kilometers and is designed according to the tertiary highway standards, featuring a 4.5-meter-wide colored asphalt concrete pavement. As an important part of Tianfu Greenway system, the route starts at a small town in Wenjun sub-district and ends at Ping’le Ancient Town, a national 4A scenic spot, and it connects Qiong Kiln National Archaeological Park, Jiaolan Villa Community, Baoma Cycling Park and Ping’le Ancient Town.
