Suzhou Metro to extend operating hours for upcoming holidays

The 8-day holiday for the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025 is approaching! To ensure safe and convenient travel for citizens and tourists during the holiday period, Suzhou Metro will extend its service hours and shorten train departure intervals during peak hours. 


Specific adjustments are as follows:

Day Before the Holiday (September 30)

The operating hours will be extended by up to 45 minutes compared to regular weekdays (Monday to Thursday). The minimum train departure intervals for all lines during peak hours remain consistent with weekdays, except for Line 1 from Xiangmen Station to Mudu direction, where the interval will be shortened from 4 minutes to 3 minutes and 30 seconds between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

First 6 Days of the Holiday (October 1 to 6)

The operating hours will be extended by up to 75 minutes compared to regular weekdays (Monday to Thursday). The minimum train departure intervals for all lines during peak hours are as follows:

Line 1: 2 minutes and 35 seconds (October 1 to 4), 3 minutes (October 5 and 6)

Line 2: 4 minutes

Line 3: 4 to 6 minutes

Line 4: 4 minutes

Line 5: 5 minutes and 30 seconds

Line 6: 5 minutes and 15 seconds

Line 7: 7 minutes

Line 8: 6 minutes

Line 11: 4 to 6 minutes

Last 2 Days of the Holiday (October 7 and 8)

The operating hours will be extended by up to 45 minutes compared to regular weekdays (Monday to Thursday). The minimum train departure intervals for all lines during peak hours are as follows:

Line 1: 4 minutes

Line 2: 5 minutes and 20 seconds

Line 3: 4 to 6 minutes.

Line 4: 5 minutes and 15 seconds

Line 5: 5 minutes and 30 seconds

Line 6: 6 minutes

Line 7: 7 minutes

Line 8: 6 minutes

Line 11: 4 to 6 minutes

Additional Working Days (September 28 and October 11)

On September 28, the operating hours and train departure intervals for all lines will remain consistent with regular weekdays (Monday to Thursday). On October 11, they will align with Friday.

During holidays, if severe weather occurs, some lines may adjust train departure intervals based on passenger demand. Please check real-time updates on operation via Suzhou Metro's official Weibo or station electronic displays and plan your trip in advance.

To check schedules for the first and last trains: Open the Su E Xing (in Chinese: 苏e行) App→Go to Trip Planner→Select First/Last Train→Choose the line and date to view specific schedules.
